Hi huns!
Lilly here. I’m 24 and from Newcastle Upon Tyne (yes I have a very strong geordie accent!)
I came across The Witching Hour on Instagram a couple of days ago. When I saw The Coven section I was so happy to finally see a community page that seemed genuine and realistic.
You don’t have to know anything and EVERYTHING about feminism to join in on the fun.
I must say, Boss Witch got me intrigued. I’m all about self-love (In fact I probably post one too many selfies...) so this forum seemed right up my street.
I recently just started taking up skate boarding and in September 2019 took part in a local competition. I already know what you’re thinking, a girl, skate boarding? Yeah I get that all the time and it can be a bit frustrating, but I love it nonetheless. The competition was, as you’d imagine, full of men but that didn’t stop me from coming second place (out of 50)!
I wanted to write this because often I feel girls don’t realise their potential. These hidden talents we have are made to be explored and if it wasn’t for me facing the fear and intimidation I felt, I wouldn’t of even entered that competition, let alone get a prize.
Boss witch can help us build each other up, no matter yow small or large the achievement is. There is no competition here, only support.
I wanted to start this discussion to get the ball rolling, what have you achieved that you’re proud of? Even if it’s just going for a walk during coronavirus. I want to hear it!
Go girl! What an achievement. My biggest isolation achievement is probably trying to spend less than 5 hours a day watching TikTok videos lmao😂 My favourite user at the minute is definitely Lewis Capaldi. He is keeping me sane! X
LOVE this. 💚 I can't say I feel like I've accomplished anything impressive at the minute because lockdown is taking it's toll, but I feel like that's ok, you know? You're so right in saying a small walk is enough right now. Nothing is normal about this situation.
One thing I am proud of is finally taking up yoga I mean I literally had nothing else to do haha, so why not?
It's not as easy as it looks and wow the pain you feel the next day is totally unexpected. I will be zen soon though I promise 🧘 x
